I'm Susan Rose and I am here to tell you how I made this hairslide.

With raw uncooked clay I cut out my desired shape.  I then hardened it in an oven designed for clay work.  When it was cool I drew my design of the tractor tracks in a field on a coloured background using coloured pencils and paints and also silver leaf.   I also applied several coats of varnish to finish the top picture design.  I then added the barrette clip to the underside.

I hope you like it!

If you click on the picture, an even larger one will come up for clearer detail.

Should you want to see a short film another clip I made but with the same procedure, you can see the link here
